Job summary

AvonRisk LLC is seeking a claims unit leader to oversee and coach a team of Claims Specialists and Assistants. You will manage performance, ensure timely handling of files, and provide necessary reports to clients.

Knowledge of California Labor Code related to workers’ compensation is essential. You will mentor staff, perform audits, and collaborate with other departments to maintain high standards and effective risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive technical claim experience with strong judgment and discretion.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and coach a claims team while ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a claims unit with coaching, performance reviews, and support to staff.
• Maintain selected files and monitor high‑value, delayed, or disputed claims.
• Provide information, reports, and records to clients as required.
• Ensure claims handling complies with Labor Code and company rules.
• Develop supervisor backup and conduct quarterly audits of inventory.
