Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Claims Unit Leader based in Texas to direct the performance of Claims Specialists and Assistants. You will coach, evaluate performance, and maintain compliance with Labor Code rules while guiding process improvements within the claims unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of progressive technical claims experience with judgment and settlements.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback skills.
• Proven project management and change management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely completion of performance reviews for all personnel in the unit.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to staff within the unit.
• Ensure all claims handled in accordance with Texas Labor Code and company rules.
• Conduct quarterly audits of open inventory for accuracy and process improvement.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration with other departments and escalate corrective actions when needed.
