Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a TPA or PEO claims role.
• Experience mentoring or leading peers or junior claims associates
• Knowledge of WC regulations across multiple states
• Strong reserving skills and understanding of indemnity, medical and expense components
• Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable with external partners
• Proficiency with claims management systems and RMIS platforms
• Experience supporting Return to Work programs and managed care coordination
• Experience working cross-functionally
• Experience with vendor management
• Extremely detailed-oriented with great time management
• Proactive and curious with a bias for action

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small claims team with direction, workload oversight and coaching
• Manage own caseload of complex, litigated, and high-severity claims from First Notice of Loss through closure
• Review coverage decisions, reserves and settlement recommendations for accuracy and alignment with guidelines
• Serve as primary escalation point for difficult claims, coverage disputes, or customer concerns
• Conduct regular file audits and quality reviews with constructive feedback
• Coordinate with TPAs, carriers, defense counsel, medical providers, and nurse case managers
• Onboard and train new claims staff on PEO workflows and state compliance
• Maintain knowledge of WC statutes and best practices across jurisdictions
• Assist with reporting and loss trend analysis
• Perform other related duties as assigned
