Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Senior Manager, Workers' Compensation Claims in New York City. You will supervise a small claims team while handling a caseload of complex WC claims end-to-end, ensuring accurate reserves and coverage decisions, and collaborating with internal and external partners.

You will drive process improvements and stay current on WC statutes across jurisdictions, contributing to our claims leadership and risk management efforts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a Third Party Claims Administration(TPA) or PEO experience in claims.
• Mentoring, training or informal leadership of peers or junior claims staff is a plus.
• Knowledge of WC regulations across multiple states; capable of navigating jurisdictional differences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small claims team with daily direction and coaching.
• Manage own active caseload of complex, litigated, high-severity workers' compensation claims from First Notice of Loss to closure.
• Review coverage decisions, reserves, and settlement recommendations to ensure alignment with guidelines.
