Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to independently manage all workers’ compensation claims from setup through closure. The role requires handling high dollar, complex claims and timely investigations, while maintaining regulatory compliance and reserving within policy.

The candidate will collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class outcomes, mentor junior adjusters, and improve claims processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years workers’ compensation claim adjusting experience (required).
• Experience handling California WC claims preferred.
• Active licensing in applicable states is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from set-up to closure.
• Evaluate high dollar, high exposure, complex claims.
• Conduct 3-point contact investigations and timely reserves.
• Present claims to senior management and stakeholders.
• Administer medical and indemnity benefits throughout the life of the claim.
• Mitigate exposure and negotiate settlements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
