Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years handling workers’ compensation indemnity claims of medium complexity/severity.
• Must hold Tennessee licensing; experience with Mississippi claims is a plus.
• Active state licensing for Tennessee and other applicable states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Guidewire (Claims Center) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze workers’ compensation claims of medium complexity/severity, including litigated files.
• Collaborate with agents, policyholders, and internal stakeholders.
• Review and interpret commercial policies to determine coverage and compensability.
• Develop action plans to resolve claims, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements in a timely manner.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves to reflect financial exposure.
• Engage external resources as needed while controlling costs.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to manage litigated claims.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and company guidelines.
