Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer in Cambridge, MA, to advance HR technology within Workday. You will design, implement, and optimize complex HR integrations and workflows, leading a team of Workday integrators to deliver high-quality results.

You will collaborate with product owners and HR partners, leveraging REST/SOAP APIs and Workday Studio to automate processes and improve candidate and associate experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience on HR platforms (Workday).
• 4+ years in Workday Integrations or functional configuration (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Performance Management).
• 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience with Workday HR modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting or Talent and Performance Management, Finance.
• 5+ years of experience with APIs within Workday using REST or SOAP.

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies.
• Deliver Workday solutions across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits.
• Communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements with HR partners to redesign business processes.
• Design and develop complex integrations within the Workday platform (SOAP/REST/WSDL/XML/XSLT).
• Provide technical expertise on Workday Studio, security, troubleshooting, data analysis, vendor management.
• Lead a team of integrators and configurators to support Workday HCM modules.
• Align priorities with product owners and deliver using Agile methodologies.
• Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct code reviews.
