Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Workday Engineer to join our HR technology team in Plano, TX. You will design, build, and optimize Workday-based solutions across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and more, while collaborating with product owners and HR partners to meet business goals.

You will implement integrations, APIs (REST/SOAP), and automation, stay current with Workday updates, and maintain thorough documentation to support scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions.
• At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP.

Responsibilities

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Deliver Workday solutions across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
• Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with HR partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
• Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday updates, fixes and capabilities
• Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation
• Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
• Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
