Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on HRIS Manager to lead Workday administration, security, and data integrity at our Walker, Michigan corporate office. You will partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HRIS experience, including 3 years of hands-on Workday administration and configuration, with strong reporting and integration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in HR, IS, Business, CS or related field.
• 5 years HRIS experience, including 3 years hands-on Workday administration and configuration.
• Experience with Workday HCM, security, custom reporting, and calculated fields.
• Experience supporting integrations, EIB, data reconciliation, testing, and release management.
• Working knowledge of HR operations and related Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Time, and Talent processes.
• Ability to lead projects, guide team members, and coordinate stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with Excel proficiency.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and protect confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Lead Workday administration and optimization across HR, Payroll, and talent modules.
• Maintain HRIS roadmap and prioritize system issues, enhancements, and projects with stakeholders.
• Configure business processes, workflows, and organizational structures to improve efficiency and controls.
• Manage security and role-based access; coordinate access reviews and audit support.
• Oversee integrations, data imports, and reconciliation with IT and vendors.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and calculated fields; maintain data quality and reporting access.
• Coordinate releases, testing, and deployments with proper approvals and documentation.
• Lead HRIS projects and vendor engagements; manage schedules, resources, risks, costs, and deliverables.
• Maintain system documentation and training materials; provide user support to HRIS resources.
