Job summary

Grand Canyon Education, Inc. seeks an experienced HRIS Architect to lead Workday system design, integrations, and data governance across multiple business units.

You will partner with HR, IT, Payroll and Benefits to architect scalable HR processes and ensure compliance. The role requires strong technical and functional HRIS expertise, including security models, EIB, Core Connector, and payroll integration knowledge (ADP preferred).

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ Workday experience across Core HCM, Time, Absence, Comp, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, with security and integrations know‑how.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience supporting large (10k+) employee organizations.
• Ability to think holistically about HR systems, configurations, integrations, data flows, and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as design authority for Workday configuration and cross‑module functionality.
• Partner with HR staff and process owners to develop strategies, objectives and roadmaps for HRIS applications.
• Define business requirements and translate business needs into automated HRIS processes across multi‑year and tactical plans.
• Steward user experience for HR applications, monitor systems and user feedback to maximize adoption.
• Configure HRIS applications based on functional requirements for cloud‑based solutions; coordinate with IT.
• Implement, test and validate configurations and coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Develop and customize reports accessible to staff as needed.
• Own integrations, data mapping, and vendor connectivity.
• Create and execute integration and regression test scripts; coordinate UAT.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for HRIS and integration points.
• Support end-users, resolve issues, and ensure timely responses.
• Other duties as assigned.
