Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Workday Benefits Principal Consultant to lead design, configuration and delivery of Workday Benefits solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor, optimise benefits strategies and align solutions with Workday leading practices in complex engagements.

You will mentor consultants, drive workshops, and collaborate across HCM, Payroll and other functions to deliver integrated solutions. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management and willingness to travel as

Qualifications

• Senior functional consultant with Workday Benefits expertise.
• Experience leading Workday Benefits workstreams end-to-end.
• Strong design, configuration and delivery capabilities.
• Ability to mentor and lead teams across projects.
• Willingness to travel on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Workday Benefits SME, guiding strategy and best practices.
• Lead client workshops and design sessions to define solutions.
• Design and configure Workday Benefits; eligibility, enrolment, life events, rates and integrations.
• Advise on benefits programme design, compliance and optimization.
• Lead Benefits workstreams on mid-to-large implementations.
• Partner with HCM, Payroll, Security and other teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live activities.
• Mentor consultants and analysts, providing coaching and leadership.
• Support pre-sales activities including estimations, proposals, and demos.
• Contribute to practice development through training and assets.
