BearCom in New Orleans, LA seeks a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems, delivering exceptional customer service and technically creative solutions.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing RF equipment, installing DAS/BDA systems, and traveling regionally with on-call hours. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401(k); company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Deep understanding of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Experience with DAS/BDA systems and test equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office; valid driver's license; background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA).
• Create and modify codeplugs; perform regionally scoped installations and on-call support.
• Recommend equipment matching customer requirements and diagnose RF issues.
• Travel regionally and occasionally overnight; ensure high quality customer service.
