Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II in Baton Rouge to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be responsible for programming codeplugs, installing equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction with technical expertise.

The role requires strong electronics and RF knowledge, experience with test equipment, and a valid driver's license. Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required, with BearCom offering comprehensive benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electronics background and RF know-how.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming and installing RF equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must have a valid driver’s license; drug screenings and background checks are part of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Recommend appropriate equipment meeting customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight; on-call hours may be required.
