Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to own harness designs from initial specs through integration and test for space-qualified hardware. You will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers and harness technicians to route, select connectors, create harness drawings, and ensure EMI/EMC compliance for high-reliability spacecraft systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of relevant industry or university research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools like RapidHarness.
• Solid understanding of wire routing, impedance, shielding, EMC.
• Familiar with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads.
• Detail‑oriented with precise design documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities
