Job summary
CesiumAstro in Westminster, CO seeks a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to own end-to-end harness designs for space-grade systems. You’ll develop schematics, routing, connector selection and harness drawings, and work with electrical, mechanical, and assembly teams to deliver reliable hardware.
The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with RapidHarness, impedance control, and EMC.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 5 years of relevant industry or university research experience.
- Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
- Strong understanding of routing, impedance, shielding, and EMC considerations.
- Experience with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001.
- Hands-on with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads).
- Detail-oriented with accurate design documentation.
- Excellent written and spoken communication; aerospace experience.
Responsibilities
- Own wire harness designs from specs through integration and test.
- Develop schematics, cable routing, connector selection, and harness drawings.
- Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers and technicians.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
- Ensure performance and reliability of wire harness systems.
