Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to design power, digital, analog and RF interconnects for space systems. You will own harness designs from schematic to drawings, routing, connector choice and assembly documentation, working closely with electrical and mechanical teams.

The role covers the full design lifecycle from specifications to integration and testing, with emphasis on EMC, impedance control and regulatory standards in an aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry or research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
• Strong knowledge of wire routing, impedance, shielding and EMC.
• Ability to analyze and test harness designs for standards and safety.
• Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and electronic loads.
• Detail-oriented with precise design documentation and specs.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Aerospace industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own wire harness designs from schematic to harness drawings.
• Develop cable routing, connector selection and harness assembly drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Lead the full design process from initial specs through integration and test.
