Job summary

S2i2 is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to lead daily operations of the Defense Logistics Agency's enterprise Windows environments. You will mentor staff, drive automation, and oversee security, patching, and compliance across NIPR/SIPR networks both on premise and in the cloud.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive IT experience, and DoD-related certifications. On-site work schedule and a focus on operational excellence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT Information Processing environments
• 4+ years hands-on install/configuration/troubleshooting software
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (CS/IS/Engineering)
• DoD 8570 Baseline Certification at IAT II (or IAT III) such as CISSP/SSCP/CISA/CASP+ etc. OR equivalent national authority certs

Responsibilities

• Oversee stability, security, and performance of Windows systems and network connections.
• Plan, install, configure, maintain, and optimize network software and links.
• Organize information management systems; resolve end-user issues; perform capacity/performance analysis with recommendations.
• Drive automation, refine processes, and train staff; support operations across locations.
• Mentor and lead system administrators to optimize resources and support.
• Apply advanced knowledge of application networking, load balancing, fault tolerance; spearhead vulnerability management.
• Lead daily Windows Server administration across NIPR and SIPR networks—on-prem and cloud.
• Patching, STIG and ACAS remediation, AD/GP management, performance monitoring, PowerShell automation, vulnerability management.
