Job summary

ApplyLogic Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Desktop & Windows Engineer to support a government client in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes OS image development, MECM/MDT deployment, and security patching in a hybrid onsite/remote environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep Windows OS knowledge, strong AD, GPO, and imaging tool experience, plus PowerShell scripting and .NET skills. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals and configurations
• Expertise with AD, GPO, OU structures, and domain services
• Experience with imaging and deployment tools: MDT, SCCM/MECM, MECM OSD, Autopilot, Intune
• Proficiency in device management, patching, and Windows Update for Business
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and VBScript
• Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN) and security controls
• Experience with endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
• Familiarity with virtualization (VDI, Hyper-V) and monitoring/logging tools
• Experience with .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic) and enterprise deployment
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement desktop OS images and software deployment packages
• Manage and support MECM/MDT-based deployment and patching
• Create and maintain automation scripts for deployment and reporting
• Support security and vulnerability remediation activities
• Evaluate hardware and provide hardware lifecycle recommendations
• Assist with virtualization and server OS deployment projects
• Troubleshoot complex desktop, application, and hardware issues
