Job summary

ApplyLogic Consulting Group, LLC seeks a Desktop & Windows Engineer to support a government client in Columbia, SC. You will develop and implement desktop OS images, oversee software distribution, and ensure patching and security across a large enterprise.

The role requires deep Windows expertise, imaging tools (MDT, MECM/SCCM), and strong PowerShell skills. Hybrid work and US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or related discipline.
• Ten years of experience may substitute for degree.
• Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals, architecture and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement software distribution packages for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Provide information and recommendations to meet user-based software requirements.
• Demonstrate scripting proficiency with PowerShell and VBScript.
• Implement server OS deployment methodologies and automated build processes.
• Support OS patching infrastructure and vulnerability remediation.
• Analyze hardware and provide lifecycle management recommendations.
• Perform security tasks including vulnerability scans and auditing.
