Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field or vocational/trade school plus five years’ relevant work experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing policies, procedures and practices in transformer operations.
• Advanced mechanical/technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience reading manufacturing drawings/specifications, blueprints or work instructions.
• Developed math and geometry skills.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable safety procedures and policies.
• Basic computer skills; advanced knowledge of Windows applications and/or CNC software.
• Knowledge and use of basic industrial measuring tools.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Developed interpersonal skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior winder duties and ensure materials/tools availability.
• Guide, communicate with and coordinate work teams to meet schedules.
• Provide direction to co-workers when new situations arise.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing issues; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and conduct on-the-job training and cross-training.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to drawings and specs.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Follow 6S and safety rules.
