Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Wind Technician III to troubleshoot complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems at our wind-energy generation sites. The role includes major corrective work, repairs, and cost-conscious improvements while maintaining safety standards.

The Wind Technician III will operate and maintain wind turbines, gather performance data, and support site operations at the Blue Canyon Wind Farm in Carnegie, OK.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of college or technical school education or equivalent training and experience.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in wind energy or a related industry.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with wind turbine power converters, high voltage switching, and post-operational maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and component repair with diagnostic tools.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in safety program improvements.
• Collect data, prepare reports, and document work performed.
• Mentor junior technicians and support operations objectives.
