Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Tech III to inspect, troubleshoot, install, and repair wind turbines and related components. You will review manuals and schematics to determine tasks, tools, and parts needed, returning turbines to service after faults promptly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in wind energy or a relevant BS degree, strong electrical knowledge, and comfort with testing equipment. The role requires travel up to 25% and willingness to work on-site at wind facilities across the US.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant wind energy experience or a BS degree in electrical/technical field and 1+ year of related experience/training
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to use electrical test equipment such as DMM and Megger
• Knowledge of electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques
• Passing a physical fitness exam and maintaining weight of 280 lbs or less

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to maximize generation
• Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot minor components and assist with some major components
• Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary
• Initiate reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA’s, and job-specific documentation for safe maintenance and repairs
