GE Vernova is hiring a systems engineer to lead design and operation changes for wind turbines, reduce downtime, and guide design decisions with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong engineering experience, and the candidate will work in a hybrid format with relocation support to Greenville, SC or Schenectady, NY for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology.
• 2+ years of experience in systems and/or services projects.

Responsabilités

• Execute design/turbine operation changes to eliminate turbine forced outages.
• Identify programs to reduce downtime and return units to service.
• Guide design decisions with Program Management and Product Line.
• Lead technical program teams on system trade-offs with focus on reducing services costs.
• Communicate analyses and present technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Manage services investments from concept to launch, prioritizing safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Contribute to the Multigeneration Engineering Plan for Services to improve operations.
• Manage requirements flow down to optimize product offering.
• Collaborate with Systems Leaders to share best practices.
• Support availability and serviceability of wind turbine fleet.
• Contribute to new and existing design practices.
