Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support North American wind assets, focusing on reliability and operational performance across the fleet.

You will lead investigations, analyze data, and drive improvement initiatives with operations, OEMs, and contractors. You will own projects related to equipment reliability, condition monitoring, QA/QC, and emerging technologies while traveling up to 20% and collaborating with teams across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in reliability/operations/maintenance engineering for wind assets.
• Experience conducting RCA investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of wind turbine technologies, failure modes, and performance drivers.
• Experience managing complex technical projects and driving initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability and performance across the wind fleet.
• Lead RCA investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Evaluate turbine components using inspections, monitoring data, and SCADA trends.
• Develop repair strategies, retrofits, and maintenance improvements.
• Create and standardize engineering documentation, procedures, and metrics.
