Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead wind projects across development, construction and operation. You will manage consultants, evaluate bids, negotiate BOP and TSA contracts, and ensure design reviews and safety practices are upheld.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and technical breadth, with up to 25% travel to project locations and partner offices. AES emphasizes safety and high-quality execution.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years in wind design, development, construction and analysis.
• Experience with MV collection, substation, gen-tie, switchyard, site civil and turbine foundations.
• OSHA 10-hr or equivalent safety training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from development through operation, with AES oversight.
• Review design deliverables, respond to RFIs, and perform QA/QC field inspections.
• Develop budget inputs and key financials for projects.
• Coordinate consultants and contractors for construction drawings and material support.
• Support turbine, BOP, and switchyard design reviews; manage change orders.
