Job summary

The AES Corporation seeks a Wind Project Engineer to drive wind project design, development, construction, and operations across the project life cycle. You will serve as the technical lead for engineering decisions, coordinating with internal and external SMEs to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Based in Louisville, CO with up to 25% travel, you will apply expertise in wind systems, MV collection, substations, and gen-tie to advance utility-scale projects and support AES

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 1–3 years in wind project design, development, construction, or analysis.
Experience in MV collection systems, substations, gen-tie, and site civil infrastructure.
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Perform technical due diligence reviews for wind projects and portfolios.
Lead preliminary BOP design including site civil, turbine foundations, and gen-tie infrastructure.
Coordinate geotechnical investigations and micrositing activities.
Prepare engineering inputs for permitting and support equipment evaluations.
