RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Manager, Wind Performance Engineering to lead a team of turbine engineers across the Americas. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex turbine issues, root cause analyses, and implementing sustainable solutions to improve asset performance and reliability.

The position requires a strong technical background in wind turbine subsystems, collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and availability for hybrid work with travel to wind sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
• 7+ years in wind energy, power generation, or a closely related industry.
• Proven experience leading and developing an engineering team in renewables.
• Experience supporting turbines through commissioning, field operations, troubleshooting, and fleet reliability.

Responsabilités

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of wind turbine engineers supporting the Americas fleet.
• Provide technical leadership for complex turbine troubleshooting, failure investigations, and reliability issues.
• Lead RCA investigations and ensure corrective actions address root causes.
• Drive RCA for major component failures and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations and field teams to translate engineering findings into practical field solutions.
• Establish technical priorities based on risk and operational impact.
• Provide guidance during major equipment failures and fleet events.
• Support long-term strategies to improve availability, reliability, and asset performance.
