Job summary

AES Clean Energy seeks a Senior Owner’s Engineer to oversee wind energy projects from development through construction and financing. You will represent AES with financing parties and engineers, ensuring adherence to internal standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating site visits, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting structured finance efforts. Remote options available with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years professional wind turbine project design, development, and construction
• Experience with debt or tax equity financing practices, terminology, and requirements
• Strong technical writing skills and project management abilities

Responsibilities

• Represent AES Clean Energy on wind, solar, energy storage projects while supporting project finance and engineering efforts
• Promote safety for all projects and onsite teams
• Review engineering plans and related documents for comment and approval
• Coordinate site visits with EPCs, Independent Engineers, and investors/financiers
• Manage IE reports and ensure compliance with financing objectives and AES standards
• Lead engineering modeling initiatives related to financial models and long‑term O&M costs
• Assist in selection of Independent Engineers and coordinate diligence responses
