Job summary

AES Corporation in the United States seeks a Senior Owner's Engineer to lead the design, development and due diligence of large-scale wind, solar and storage projects. You will represent AES Clean Energy with financiers, investors, lenders and Independent Engineers.

The Senior Owner's Engineer will manage technical documentation, site visits, and IE due diligence reports primarily for wind facilities up to 1000 MW, with travel up to 20% and potential remote work from Salt Lake City, UT or

Qualifications

• 5+ years in wind turbine project design, development and construction.
• Experience with wind project construction, QA and investor site visits.
• Experience with debt or tax equity financing practices, terminology, and requirements.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate complex topics.
• Project and case management skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
• Familiarity with NEC/NESC and related codes (IBC, NFPA 855).

Responsibilities

• Represent AES Clean Energy on wind, solar and energy storage projects while supporting project finance and engineering efforts.
• Promote safety for all projects on and offsite.
• Provide development support to Origination, Procurement, Development and M&A teams; draft/edit technical contracts.
• Review production estimates and site suitability for wind turbines; address engineering questions.
• Coordinate with AES CE project teams to ensure quality installations and ongoing operations.
• Coordinate IE report drafts, site visits, and related deliverables with engineers and investors.
• Lead engineering modeling initiatives related to the financial model (O&M costs, turbine examples).
• Coordinate with legal and IE on certificates and diligence responses.
