Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Analytics & Performance Lead to join the Wind Energy Assessment team, serving the U.S. and Canada.

The role blends wind energy assessment with advanced data analytics, process automation, and technical leadership to develop innovative analytical solutions and support critical project decisions. The position offers a dynamic hybrid work schedule across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of directly relevant professional experience in renewable energy, engineering consulting, atmospheric science, software development, analytics, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze turbine and wind plant SCADA data to track power curves, evaluate energy yield, identify lost production, diagnose recurring faults or derates.
• Lead wind resource and energy assessments for utility-scale wind projects, supporting early-stage development, financing, construction, and operational decision-making.
• Perform advanced analysis of meteorological, reanalysis, operational, SCADA, remote sensing, and geospatial datasets to develop defensible energy production estimates.
• Contribute technical expertise to pre-construction energy assessments, independent engineer assignments, operational assessments, and due diligence reviews.
• Evaluate project performance, uncertainty, losses, and risk factors using industry-standard methodologies.
• Prepare and review technical reports and customer-facing deliverables.
• Build trusted customer relationships and participate in technical discussions.
