DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Analytics & Performance Lead for its Wind Energy Assessment team in the United States. The role combines wind energy assessments with advanced data analytics, automation, and technical leadership to deliver high-quality consulting services for utility-scale projects across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field relevant to wind energy or data analytics.
• 7+ years' experience in renewable energy, analytics, or engineering consulting.
• Understanding of wind turbine subsystems and SCADA integration.
• Experience performing wind resource and energy assessments for utility-scale projects.
• Strong programming in Python, MATLAB, or R for data processing.
• Ability to evaluate AI outputs critically and govern usage.
• Experience handling large meteorological/SCADA/geospatial datasets.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience in customer-facing consulting.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Analyze turbine and wind plant SCADA data to track power curves and energy yield.
• Lead wind resource and energy assessments for utility-scale projects.
• Analyze meteorological and geospatial datasets for energy production estimates and uncertainty.
• Provide technical input to pre-construction and operational assessments and due diligence.
• Evaluate project performance, uncertainties, and risk with standard methodologies.
• Prepare technical reports and customer-facing deliverables.
• Build trusted customer relationships and participate in technical discussions.
• Design and maintain analytical tools and automated workflows.
• Process large datasets and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
• Mentor analysts and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
• Support development of data visualization and decision-support tools.
