Job summary

DNV Energy Systems' Renewables and Power Advisory Group seeks a Senior Wind Energy Assessment Analyst to join our Wind Energy Assessment team. This role supports technical consulting for utility-scale wind projects across the U.S.

and Canada, evaluating wind resources, energy production, project performance, and risk through the project lifecycle. You will work with engineers, atmospheric scientists, meteorologists, and renewable energy professionals to deliver pre-construction and operational

Qualifications

• Experience in wind energy resource assessment and energy production analyses.
• Strong collaboration with engineers and scientists across disciplines.
• Ability to interpret meteorological and SCADA data.
• Experience with AI applications in energy analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of wind resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale wind energy projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret meteorological, operational, and energy production datasets.
• Contribute technical expertise to pre-construction energy assessments, independent engineer assignments, and technical due diligence reviews.
• Partner with project teams to evaluate project performance, uncertainty, and risk factors.
• Support operational energy assessments using SCADA and production data.
• Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and customer deliverables.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and participate in technical discussions to support informed project outcomes.
• Support remote sensing and measurement campaign activities, including LiDAR and meteorological data analysis.
• Contribute to wake loss, site suitability, and performance assessment studies
• Support the development and implementation of automation, digital tools, and process improvements through use of AI.
• Apply AI solutions to solve business problems, improve decision-making, automate routine activities, and enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, quality, and scalability of work products and services.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical specialists to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
