Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must have FFT2 qualification including required training modules.
  • Two seasons as a FFT2 or agency equivalent.
  • Must meet fitness standards as per local Fire Program Manager.
  • Experience operating various types of equipment.
  • Must obtain related licenses or certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and be a team member in a high-stress environment.
  • Convey work instructions to subordinates.
  • Work under close supervision of Burn Boss during fire operations.
  • Perform other land management tasks when not conducting prescribed fire.
  • Maintain physical fitness and perform heavy labor in diverse conditions.
  • Assist with documenting work activities as requested by supervisor.
  • Hold a valid driver9;s license and maintain good driving record.
