Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1-year training in fire operations or land management.
• FFT1 task book completed; fire management qualifications per policy.
• Two or more seasons as a Senior Burn Crew Member or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Function as a leader and member of a high-stress team during fire operations.
• Supervise and mentor Burn Crew Members and Senior Burn Crew Members.
• Assist with logistics, expenses, time reporting, and other admin tasks.
• Convey work instructions to Burn Crew members.
• Monitor progress and safety, evaluate fire behavior and resources.
• Perform other land management duties when prescribed fire isn't feasible.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
