Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc seeks a Senior Manager, SC Planning to lead demand planning, forecasting and client care for a major account. The role drives reporting, process improvement and staff development across the distribution center, ensuring service levels and contractual obligations are met.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in complex planning, strong BI and forecasting skills, and a relevant degree with APICS certification. On-site Georgia location with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with complex demand planning activities.
• Experience utilizing BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos or equivalent).
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Working knowledge of statistical methods and forecasting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• Working knowledge of SQL or similar programming languages.
• Working knowledge of WMS.
• 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• APICS certification.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing principles and in 3PL/warehouse environments (AS9100/ISO beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Lead/direct planning team and planning-related functions of the distribution center.
• Develop and execute site-level operational reports for leadership and client.
• Ensure Operations teams meet service-level standards and contractual obligations.
• Support processes in supply chain, inventory and orders management performance.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff; mentor team in line with objectives.
• Identify growth opportunities with customers and promote enhanced services/cost savings.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives via planning-based improvement activities.
• Interview, onboard and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
