Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. is seeking a Senior Wetland Scientist to support a broad range of environmental permitting and natural resource projects across New England.

The role focuses on wetland delineation, wildlife habitat evaluations, rare species surveys, and construction monitoring, with emphasis on fieldwork, reporting, and regulatory coordination for residential, commercial, municipal, and energy projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Wetland Science, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Experience with MA wetland regulations; familiarity with New England states preferred.
  • Ability to conduct wetland delineations and environmental field investigations independently.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct wetland delineations and wildlife habitat evaluations.
  • Develop permit strategies with project teams for diverse markets.
  • Coordinate federal, state, and local wetland permitting efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports and permit applications.
  • Oversee construction monitoring and environmental field activities.
  • Create project maps using GIS and manage project timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulators, and team members.
