Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Wetland Scientist to join the Permitting, Planning and Licensing team in Southern New England. You will lead wetland delineations, desktop studies, and permitting, while mentoring field technicians to strengthen field capabilities.

The position supports projects across energy infrastructure and environmental services, with offices in Lowell, MA and surrounding area, and offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ecology or related field required.
• Experience with wetland delineations and regulatory permitting in NE states preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead wetland delineations and functional assessments.
• Lead physical resource surveys including stream and floodplain assessments.
• Prepare permit applications and participate in regulatory permitting processes.
• Mentor and manage field technicians and wetland scientists.
• Support and lead environmental resource surveys and reporting.
