Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to act as the welding quality authority across projects, writing and reviewing welding quality programs, supervising CWIs and Welding Inspectors, and approving procedures and welder qualifications.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership, deep knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104, plus the ability to audit fabricators and resolve disputed indications.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI, or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality programs and supervising inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Represent the company to engineers of record, owners, and officials on welding matters.
