Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write and review welding quality plans, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, and approve welding qualifications and procedures.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership, plus deep knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104. Occasional travel may be required as project demands.

Qualifications

• Welding quality program writing experience.
• Welding procedures and NDT procedures review.
• Experience overseeing multiple inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review reports and calibrate calls.
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages; witness procedure qualification testing.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcontractors.
• Resolve disputed indications and repairs with engineers of record; represent the company in welding quality reviews.
• Lead welding quality conversations with engineers of record and building officials.
