Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Welding Inspector III to serve as the welding quality authority across projects, writing and reviewing welding quality programs, supervising CWIs and Welding Inspectors, and representing the company to engineers of record, owners, and building officials.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a current CWI with extensive leadership experience, plus strong knowledge of D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI certification or equivalent leadership in welding quality programs
• Experience supervising weld inspectors and writing welding quality procedures
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and NDT oversight requirements

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review reports
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems and ensure compliance
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing
• Represent the company in welding quality reviews
