Job summary

Halo Technical Solutions Global seeks a Certified Welding Inspector to verify welding activities meet project specifications, codes, and QA/QC requirements on large-scale industrial construction projects in Houston. Inspect welds throughout the process, review welder qualifications and documentation, and coordinate NDE/NDT activities.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of welding inspection experience, a Journeyman License, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and the ability to relocate.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of welding inspection experience in industrial/construction settings.
• Working knowledge of welding processes, joint preparation, fit-up and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, welding symbols, WPS/PQRs, and project documentation.
• Strong documentation, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify welding activities comply with project specifications, procedures, and codes.
• Review welder qualifications, WPS/PQR documentation, materials, and fit-up requirements.
• Perform inspections before, during, and after welding activities.
• Identify and document weld deficiencies, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and support NDE/NDT inspections and testing activities.
• Maintain accurate weld inspection records and certifications.
