Job summary

CB&I Storage Solutions seeks a Sr Welding Engineer to assess welding procedures, oversee field welding, NDE and testing, and ensure compliance with project specs.

You will work as an individual contributor reporting to regional operations lead, collaborating with quality teams and project management to provide technical welding guidance and reliable execution on site in Houston.

Strong knowledge of GMAW, FCAW and SAW, plus experience with ITPs and post-weld heat treatment, are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of welding/quality experience.
• Experience programming welding systems.
• Certifications in welding or NDE preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering, fabrication and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Regional SME with welding procedures expertise.
• Produce contract specific ITPs.
• Lead site activities for PWHT and pressure testing.
• Review customer specs and advise Estimating on welding risks.
• Perform welding inspections and NDT as needed.
