Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector for TAR/Project work in Houston. The role requires AWS B5.1 CWI certification and 5–7 years of inspection experience. You will conduct visual inspections and NDE, prepare reports, and interface with clients on inspection procedures and capabilities.

A TWIC card and valid driver's license are required, with opportunities to grow in a global QA team. The position emphasizes field diagnostics, adherence to codes, and professional client interaction

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of inspection experience.
• Ability to determine if a weldment meets code/standard acceptance criteria.
• Current TWIC Card is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record preferred.
• Ability to apply examination criteria per standards/procedures on job scopes.
• Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients and subcontractors.
• Ability to provide clear technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors.
• Ability to organize and report test results and data.
• Ability to solve technical issues in the field.
• Follow advancements in CWI technologies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform CWI visual inspections and various non-destructive examinations at a client facility or fab shop under supervision or independently.
• Prepare NDE reports and document data clearly and promptly.
• Interface with the client on technical matters involving Certified Welding Inspection procedures and capabilities.
• Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and coworkers.
• Stay abreast of new developments in Certified Welding Inspection and related technologies.
