Job summary

Halo Technical Solutions Global is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to join our quality and commissioning team in Houston, TX. The role will verify welding activities meet project specs, codes, and procedures while coordinating NDE/NDT testing and maintaining detailed documentation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in welding inspection, strong understanding of welding codes, and willingness to relocate.

Qualifications

3–5 years of welding inspection or related construction inspection experience.
Experience with industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction sites.
Knowledge of welding processes, joint prep, fit-up, materials, and codes.

Responsibilities

Verify welding activities comply with project specs, drawings, procedures, and codes.
Review welder qualifications and WPS/PQR documentation.
Perform inspections before, during, and after welding.
Document weld deficiencies and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate NDE/NDT inspections and testing activities.
Maintain weld inspection records and certifications.
Review drawings and engineering documentation for compliance.
Collaborate with field supervision and QA/QC teams to resolve issues.
Identify quality risks to prevent rework and delays.
Support turnover documentation and project quality meetings.
