True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer – automated systems to lead welding operations on on-site Pewaukee, WI projects. You will oversee weld process development, WPS/PQR qualification, and robot welding programs to meet AWS D1.1 and ASME IX requirements.

In this supervisor-level role, you will mentor Robotic Welding Technicians, review weld paths, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure defect-free builds for dedicated automation projects.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in welding engineering or robotic welding leadership.
• Proven welding procedure development and defect resolution in production / automation.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME IX codes.
• US citizenship or Green Card & Pewaukee commuting distance required.

Responsabilités

• Lead Robotic Welding Technicians; provide hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for new materials and joints.
• Review robot weld paths and parameter sets for repeatability and quality.
• Ensure code compliance and support supplier/quality teams during builds.
• Support project estimation, equipment needs, and commissioning activities.
