Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Senior Welding Engineer for an on-site Pewaukee, WI facility. The role leads weld process development, mentoring Robotic Welding Technicians, and ensuring AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX compliance across advanced automation projects.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in welding engineering, strong GMAW/GTAW/laser capabilities, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Local commute and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5–8+ years of welding engineering experience in production or automation.
• US work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Green Card).

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for Robotic Welding Technicians, providing hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Develop, document, and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and parameters for new materials and configurations.
• Investigate nonconformances and ensure full compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX codes.
• Provide technical input on project estimating regarding weld process feasibility and cycle times.
• Support new equipment integration, robot commissioning, and on-site startup during client engagements.
