Job summary

Talent With Heart in Pewaukee, WI seeks a Senior Welding Engineer to lead automated welding projects on-site. You will develop welding procedures, qualify WPS/PQR, and ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX while mentoring Robotic Welding Technicians.

Expect a hands-on leadership role with occasional travel for client integration and commissioning in a fast-paced automation environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of welding engineering experience.
• Experience with GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, robotic arc welding, laser welding.
• Proven track record in developing and qualifying WPS/PQR documents.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX codes.
• U.S. work authorization and Pewaukee area residence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Robotic Welding Technicians and provide hands-on troubleshooting.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welding parameters.
• Evaluate fixtures, cell layouts, and tooling for repeatable part access.
• Ensure code compliance and investigate weld defects for corrective actions.
• Support project estimates with weld process feasibility and cycle times.
• Assist with equipment integration and robot commissioning on-site.
