The Senior Welder will perform welding on assemblies and components related to manufacturing power transformers. They will advise engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams on technical inquiries and provide troubleshooting and solutions related to tooling, machine setup, and quality issues in manufacturing and machining processes.
Essential Functions:
- Perform welding duties and repairs on incoming materials as per NCR recommendations.
- Set up fixtures, templates, and layout products for complex assemblies with tight tolerances using prints.
- Interpret and clarify complex technical drawings, mechanical prints, and specifications.
- Determine operation sequences where specifications are vague.
- Troubleshoot material, print, equipment, or product issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure quality criteria are inspected, verified, and documented to meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Follow standard procedures and maintain quality and productivity standards.
- Practice 6S and adhere to safety rules and guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, including cranes, forklifts, and lifts.
- Assist in training new employees and developing training materials.
- Participate in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Support other manufacturing areas as needed.
- Comply with company policies and understand the importance of quality, safety, and environmental policies.
