Job description

Position Title:

Welder/Mechanic

Wage:

$47,840-$54,080 per year

Shift:

1st

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for a Welder/Mechanic at a company in Lincoln, NE. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Welding using various equipment provided in the fleet garage, including oxy-acetylene cutting.
2. Designing, fabricating, and repairing metal work.
3. Performing minor repairs and maintenance on fleet vehicles.
4. Adhering to schedules, policies, procedures, and safety standards.
5. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of welding experience, with knowledge of arc welding equipment, acetylene torches, grinders, and related tools, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility regarding work schedule.
