Job summary

Samsara is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to join the Web Experience team. This role focuses on reducing workflow distance in the Samsara dashboard and delivering AI-enhanced features that help customers discover value quickly.

You will own the technical direction, design end-to-end features across frontend and backend, and scale the platform to support growing usage while maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years building software and 4+ years working on large-scale distributed systems.
• 4+ years leading technical projects across multiple teams.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of the Web Experience platform, including end-to-end features and AI-powered experiences.
• Design and build features spanning frontend, backend, and supporting infrastructure.
• Scale systems to support product growth while maintaining reliability, quality, and usability.
• Standardize patterns, mentor teams, and collaborate with product, design, and peer engineers.
• Partner with leadership on bets and foster a long-term, inclusive team culture.
